Baked Spaghetti Recipe

Here’s a nice, simple baked spaghetti recipe that is easy to prepare and will have the family begging for more. The secret behind this recipe is the cheese. Start with the essential ingredients:

  • Spaghetti (fresh or dry)
  • Sauce (meat sauce is the best)
  • Try my recipe for spaghetti sauce
  • Boiling water
  • Salt
  • Cheese (mozzarella, or any other type of cheese)
  • Cook your spaghetti until it’s almost “al dente”. This is important because the spaghetti will also cook while baking. Grate your cheese but make sure you leave some cheese in small chunks about the size of a grape.

Pour the spaghetti into a baking dish and then add your sauce. Mix the spaghetti and sauce thoroughly. Mix the chunks of cheese with the sauce and spaghetti. This will give you pockets of cheese. Spread the grated cheese over the top and place it in an oven preheated to 350 degrees. Wait about 25 min or until the cheese on the top has melted. If you want to brown the top turn on the broiler for about 5min (until brown).

Serve with a nice salad and some bread. Goes well with a nice Chianti. Hope you enjoy my baked spaghetti recipe and my other Italian food recipes. Maybe you’ll sample some on your European vacation. Untitled Document
