Belgian Tourist Information

So you're looking for Belgian tourist information. To be honest with you my first memory of Belgium was the beer. It's Fantasatic!!! However, there is much more to Belgium that will make your European vacation unforgetable. Take a look at the Belgian attractions below to help you plan your trip. Make sure you follow the links to get the most of the Belgian tourist information I provide. Enjoy you tour of Belgium.
When you first started to plan your European vacation I bet that Antwerp was never on your list. What a mistake!! If you are looking for fun look no further than Antwerp.

Of course the name Antwerp goes hand in hand with diamonds and it handles over 80% of the worlds rough diamonds but there is much more to this Belgian city. It seems like more and more people are going to Antwerp for it's nightlife. Plus! The city has also become a fashion leader and a great place to shop.

If you like things a little more subdued remember that Antwerp is the home of Rubens and his influence is all around the city. But don't forget that Belgium has the largest beer selection in the world and Antwerp's beer is Bolleke and I'm sure it will have you coming back for more.

So have you ever been to Bruges? More and more people have been asking this question recently. What a cool place! It's like time has stood still and it combines the best of what so many places in Europe have to offer. Bruges is a medieval town that is known for it's canals and has sometimes been called the Venice of the north. Everything Belgian exists in this little town and it is a must see for any traveller. Remember it is a world heritage sight.

If you are looking for a change and you want to get away from the typical tourist cities why don't you take a visit to Ghent. The city is alive with university students and has thousands of cafes and unbelievable restaurants. The fact that most of the city is closed to traffic makes it and ideal walking or riding city. The canal system is also a great way to get around and can be very romantic if you so desire. The city comes alive in the summer with a ten day festival which you are sure to enjoy. Belgian tourist information offices are also handy places to pop into while you are there to find out what's happening locally.

If you are a World War One or World War Two history buff then you have to go to Belgium. It' nickname is the battlefield of Europe and you can still see well preserved sights from both of the wars and take an emotional trip to the many of the Allied cemetaries. I have devoted a whole section to this in my Top Attractions page. Follow this link to get there

Beer need I say more. Belgium is home to more than 450 different types of beer and just like great wine the beer should be served in a glass and in most cases a very specific glass depending on the type of beer. I'll never forget my first Belgian beer (Jupiler), I was blown away and I continue to get blown away everytime I try a different beer. Check out my beer section follow the link.

Brussels

Of course you have to visit Brussels. On my Brussels page you will find tons of information on this great city.
Discover Brussels

The Grand Place Brussels old market square
Manneken Pis The famous little boy
The Royal Palace of Belgium The offices and staterooms of King Albert II
I hope you find my Belgian tourist information useful. Don't forget what I said about Belgian tourist information centers while you are visiting. Enjoy your European Vacation.
