The Climate in Italy

The climate in Italy will vary depending on where you are in the country. During the winter the north will experience frost and fog, as you head south the temperature gets warmer but it tends to rain quite a bit.

The spring is the best time to visit Italy because you can get some wonderful sunshine and comfortable temperatures. In the south it may be warm enough to spend some time on the beach. In Venice you’ll be comfortable in a t-shirt if you like.

The summers can be very hot a have very little rain. The country is crowded with tourists and the heat can get overwhelming. The north will be cooler especially in the mountains. Sicily and areas to the south will have extreme heat.

The fall will be much like the spring but with less rain. The fall is a wonderful time to travel to Italy.

Whenever you decide to go Italy has it all when it comes to weather. Check out my average temperature tables for Italy’s cities if you want detailed information on weather in Italy. I hope you enjoy your European vacation. Untitled Document
