Climate in Portugal

The climate in Portugal is one of the best in Europe. Because it’s a maritime country the climate is generally mild year round. Portugal receives more sun than any other country in Europe. The summers are very dry and you can expect to be on the beach right to the end of the fall season. When it does rain it is usually during the winter months. The one exception is the Algarve which has a mild climate all year round. Average temperatures in the summer are in the high 70’s (26 Celsius) and in the winter in the mid 50’s (10 -14 Celsius).

If you’re looking for the best weather on your European vacation than take a trip to Portugal.

Check out the chart below for more information on the climate in Portugal.
