Europe is usually divided into eastern and western regions. The dividing line was the old "Iron Curtain", a term Winston Churchill coined. Divide Germany in half a generally everything to the east is known as eastern Europe and to the west, western Europe. Norway, Sweden and Finland are considered Scandinavia while Turkey marks the dividing line between Europe and the middle east and Greece is an exception to the rule.
