Deutsches Museum Munich
Untitled Document
Probably one of the best museums in Germany is the Deutsches Museum Munich . The
museum has 50 exhibit areas that cover an amazing 47,000 sq m which focus on science
and technology throughout the ages. Every year, over a million people visit
the Deutsches Museum Munich.
In general the exhibits are broken down into 5 main categories; science, materials
and production, energy, transport and a children’s museum. In the science
exhibits you’ll be exposed to such fields as natural sciences: astronomy,
physics, chemistry, biology, etc. The materials and productiuon area focusses
on how man has survived over the years and the inventions that have resulted
in this quest. The museum looks at energy from all angles but narrows in on
the idea of how energy has affected mankind. In the transportation section you’ll
learn about the basic principles of locamotion and see how far man has come
over the ages. If you happen to be traveling with kids they’ll love the
Children’s museums and it will certainly keep them busy for the afternoon.
The Deutsches Museum Munich shouldn’t be seen as just a rainy day option.
Make sure you drop by if your in Munich to at least take a look at a few exhibits.
If you’re a seroius museum goer you’ll need a couple of days to
see everything. It's definately one of the best museums in the world so enjoy
it on your European vacation.
