Current Weather Forcast Below
It's a good idea to get the European weather forcast before you decide when to make your trip to Europe. 90% of the time I have traveled in the spring or fall for the following reasons: The flights are cheaper Hotels are cheaper The weather is just right throughout the continent You don't encounter a huge number of tourists Europe is coming alive in the spring (it's beautiful)
Of course the time of year you travel depends on when you get time off. If you want to go in the summer here are some of the things to look forward to as well as some of the drawbacks. THE POSITIVES The weather is perfect There are lot's of activities (festivals, concerts, etc) Europe is bustling, you'll meet plenty of new people The beaches are outstanding
THE NEGATIVES Flights double or triple in price Hotels see major price increases as well Hotel and flight availabilty is limited There are millions of tourists You lose out on culture (the real side of Europe is hidden)
Winter travel in Europe can be something special. Imagine Christmas in London or Paris. Taking in midnight mass at the Vatican or skating on a canal in
The Netherlands
.Don't forget skiing in the Alps. If you do chose a winter vacation it is usually very specific and involves only a few countries instead of an all out excursion. I'll deal with the specifics of a winter vacation later.
