Temperatures in Spain

The temperatures in Spain depend on where you happen to be in the country. Along the coast you’ll experience a maritime climate while in the interior the temperatures can be quite extreme.

The country has lots of sunshine with more than 3000 hours of sunshine per year. The country is vast and the climate can change from place to place. The north along the Mediterranean has a mild climate and more rain while the south has much more sunshine. Madrid can have overwhelming heat in the summer while the northwest coast can experience cooler temperatures. In other words the temperatures in Spain can vary.

There can be plenty of snow in the mountains and there is some excellent skiing. The high country also offers some great vacation opportunities because of the climate. It can sometimes be a refreshing break from the temperatures in the interior.

Check out the table below for average Spain temperatures. By clicking on the cities you'll get the detailed weather forecast in Spain. I hope this information helps you plan your European vacation.
