Many people in Amsterdam take time during their lunch hour or their break to take a stroll through the park. Tourists don't often take the time to enjoy the parks in Amsterdam. Take a break from all of the museums and the shopping and visit a park, such as the Vondelpark. By visiting a park you get a chance to see how the locals live plus he gives you a chance to unwind from a hectic itinerary.

At the center of the park you'll find the Rose Garden as well as a team room.  The national film Museum is also located within the park. Because of this, there are many theater productions that take place at the open-air theater If you happen to be traveling with children you'll find several playgrounds throughout the park.

Each year about 10 million people visit the park. Bikes are prominent and the bike paths are extensive. See if you can find the statue called “The Fish” by Pablo Picasso.
