Weather in Vienna
The weather in Vienna is usually characterized by warm summers and cold winters. The spring is a wonderful time to travel to Vienna. In the spring the temperatures are on the rise and the tourist crowds aren’t out of control. There will be a moderate amount of rain but it won’t be overwhelming. You can expect a decent amount of sun.
The summer season is usually crowded and by mid summer it can get hot, but extreme temperatures are rare. The evenings in the summer are spectacular and add to the charm of this magnificent city.
The weather in Vienna in the fall is much like the spring and can be a terrific time to travel. The tourist crowds are starting to go away and the temperature is pleasant but can be cool at night.
In the winter the focus shifts to the outdoors. The temperature can get quite cold with air cold air moving in from Eastern Europe. The tourist crowds are gone but the adventurous show up for skiing and other winter activities that dominate this country. Definitely consider Vienna as a stop on your European vacation.
